Is there a config option for changing the priority on the client, I find it stalls when doing the web radio thing. This is a linux question. I can change it manually and get it started again but it sucks. |

The core client doesn't use CPU, except during CPU benchmarks (very infrequently), so changing the client's priority shouldn't change anything. The science application (like setiathome_5.12_i686-pc-linux-gnu) is what actually uses CPU. BOINC by default sets it to nice value 19 on Linux. What is the priority you're changing manually? Where did you get BOINC? The download page, your distro packages, or compiled yourself? |
