Hello
Where I could see list of system requirements (memory usage and approx/mean WU time-length on some "reference" system)for different projects?
It seems too unefficient to join each one just to see reqs are too high to continue...

Honza has a really useful chart at the following location:

--- Edit: Beaten to it :-) Don't bother looking at my link, it's exactly the same as the other.

Cpdn system requirements for the main 160-year models/WUs are CPU minimum 1.6GHz and 512Mb RAM. On a fast computer running 24/7 and allowing for some housekeeping downtime, it would be difficult to complete a single workunit in less than 3 months.

For the cpdn Seasonal Attribution Project, requirements are higher but models shorter:

Thanks Mike for pointing me to this thread.
And thanks Sekerob for updated information.

I've started English thread on BS forum but they don't seems to be very interested - thread get updated with credit score rather then new application version.

(there are not many Czech active on WCG as it was never fully BOINC project).

Too many project to monitor by myself, too few computers to run...

(table is somehow updated).

I think it's a massively useful chart, but I tend to ignore version numbers etc. The bit which is useful to me + which I refer people to is the memory requirements and run times. They don't actually change that often so might be why the thread doesn't have that many postings. The synergy thread has had nearly 8000 views so a lot of people look at it.

Could you add "supported platforms"? See this post.

OK, I'll try as there are several requests of that type.

Other info will still apply only to Windows applications - I do not posses Linux and MacOS boxes to test all projects/applications. It would also require 3 tables and I already have full-time job :-)

Will try to update description on BS thread as well...

You can check the BOINC FAQs/Projects category. I try to be as up to date as possible.

I'll also add the new memory usage to the FAQs.
