After building a new computer (Ryzen 5 - 5500), I fitted 2 hard drives. 1 for Linux Mint 21 & 1 for Windows. 11 Pro. I spent 7 days testiing out Linux & while doing that ran a 7 day test running Boinc - 7.22.1. Next I installed Windows & Boinc & still testing Boinc with 2 days remaining of test. For the 1st time in a very long time, had to abort tasks as they were suspended by prefs. Checking both Web & local prefs, I cannot find any where to prevent GPU crunching just suspend when computer in use. I don't do GPU crunching. Is this a Boinc issue or an issue for the project? This did not occur when using Linux. |

Web preferences. Go to the project website, your preferences, Project preferences and uncheck use of the GPU(s) there, then save the page and have BOINC contact the project. |

Ouch, thanks Jord. Don't know how I missed that. It worked, sadly I didn't do the job properly, it downloaded another 4. My fault, I didn't uncheck Nvidia GPU. Hopefully on the next download, it will work. Surprised that in 7 days, no GPU tasks downloaded in Linux. |

Use of GPUs is a per project preference, so if you don't want to use the GPU and you have multiple projects, make sure to uncheck using the GPU at all the projects. |
