I upgraded my CPU from an AMD 3800XT to a 5950X and ever since, Boinc Manager will freeze after running for about a half an hour. The projects being worked on at the time continue to run in the background until they are complete, then they fail to upload or start any more projects. When running on the 3800XT, there was no issues at all and it would run for days on end. With the much more powerful 5950X it fails constantly. I have updated all drivers including chip set. Everything else works flawlessly, except Boinc. I have tried a repair to the program and still have the same results. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. |

I would try running memtest for an hour or two. I don't really understand why it should affect BOINC and not the tasks but the new CPU asking more of your RAM is the only thing I can think of. (Wouldn't be surprised if others have better ideas though!) I assume you are running a Windows installation and the latest incarnation of BOINC? |
