I have a Windows system that had an interruption doing installation of a BOINC upgrade. Now when I try to run the installer I get an Error 1500 Installation already in progress ..... and it wants the original installation finished. How do I close out the old installation ?

Thanks

1. Press CTRL + ALT + DEL and open the Task Manager.
2. Click More Details in the bottom-left corner.
3. On the Processes tab, click to select Windows Installer under Background processes.
4. Click the End Task button.
