The website and the BOINC part of WCG is down since about 2,5 hours. However, on their FB account they only mention that the website is down. That post was posted some 48 minutes ago:

"We are aware that the website is currently unavailable as the load balancer went down. Our tech team is currently working to resolve this issue.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
WCG Team"

WCG website is totally dead here now. The site is not responding at all, and the error is "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT"
I bet that they finally tried to restart ARP, which of course would take down the site. We've seen that before with ARP....

Edit: And now it's back again. However, it wouldn't surprise me if it goes down again, pretty soon.

Just as I expected, it's goodnight again, with the website.

And it's back. The site is much faster now, but that will probably not last, unless they made some changes, and/or added new hardware.

Down again since many hours back.
Logging in is impossible:"An error occurred while attempting to login. Please try again later"

At least the BOINC part of the project is still up, although a bit hard to get any new tasks.

Update:

Now it says "wrong URL, this URl isn't linked to any BOINC project", whenever I try to add the project in BOINC, and it says this before I can even login.

Update again:

I can now add the project, but it's only utilizing my CPU, I assume no GPU support?

And It's only utilization one of my 16 threads, which means 6.4% of my CPU.

Why is this? Hope if can be fixed soon, so the project utilizes all 16 threads/100% of my CPU.

Right now there is no tasks available for the only GPU project ("OPNG" - OpenPandemics - COVID-19 GPU)
and availability has been extremely rare the last many months.

As for WCG only using 1 thread/core, first check your settings in the BOINC program to confirm you're allowing 100% of CPU use. If that is the case, check your WCG SETTINGS:

* Use no more than:
100.0
% of processor time

Then scroll down to the Project Limits section and make sure the drop down boxes are set to Unlimited on each project.

To scroll down to the blue save box and click on it to save your changes.

I've done all of these things, even selected all projects, and the "get work from another project, if no work is available for the selected projects" option.

It just keeps saying communication postponed 2 minutes every time I try to click the update button. And I've tried all 5 profile options: default, power saving, minimum, maximum, and custom, with the settings you suggsted, nothing happens.

You might have your computer(s) in a different venue [home, work, school, blank/default] than where you are making the changes for the WCG project.

Took me several project updates after the obligatory waits each time before I got any tasks on a new client today. Only one I got work for was MCM.

No, my computer is at home, and I've tried both the home and default profiles, reset the project, BOINC settings, everything. Still not getting any tasks.

This is not the place for your troubleshooting with WCG.

Please take your troubleshooting to the WCG project forum https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/index.

If needed, you can link back or copy/paste to your posts here in their forum.
