Just a few MCM1 resends here, from time to time. Still upload issues, but they can be overcome.

Update from WCG. Let's see how true that is, and how long it takes before another issue comes up.

If I look at BOINCStats for WCG overall the project credit shows no credit granted after July 22. Am I looking correctly at this ?

Our new WCG staff may be well intended but they come across like "Babes in the Woods" with no supervision or guidance.

As this is a educational institute it kind of scares me to think that they are shaping our future leaders.

Exactly. Typical conversation on WCG forums:
"Oh you say something is broken?'
...
"We are not aware of (fill in multiple blanks) not working."
...
"We will notify our team it's broken. Hopefully they can fix it sometime in the future when they have time (if ever)."

The IBM setup of WCG, is way too complicated for this small and inexperienced Krembil/Jurisica team. They really should take WCG down, and install a "simple" vanilla BOINC system, without all the bells and whistles, which they obviously are not capable of handling.

Then they could come back, and I'm sure WCG would work better. Sure, the original BOINC system, doesn't have the "fancy" webpages, with all stuff on it, but they would probably be able to handle it better than the IBM relatively complicated setup.

Relying on "Everything IBM" including hardware and software makes for a real P.I.T.A. to migrate off.

If the WCG team would tell us, why last weekend was totally dry of "new" work, and that only resends were available, it would leave no room for speculations.
However, not a word so far this week, about that.

Tomorrow is Friday again. Let's see if my suspicions about how they handle sending out "new" tasks during weekends proves correct.

I might change my settings to build up a stock of work on Friday though that might be exacerbating the problem for others?

Unfortunately we cannot provide a time frame for when the issue will be resolved at this point. Our tech team has been in communication with our data centre contacts and they are working on investigating and resolving the issue. I will continue to provide updates as they become available.

We are aware that the external stats download has been unavailable since the outage we experienced on July 21st. Our tech team has been investigating the issue and discovered and resolved a bug in the script that resulted in a missing parent stats directory. No stats have been lost. We continue to monitor this issue to ensure that it does not reoccur. Please let us know if you continue to experience any issues accessing the external stats download.
