Got as many ARP tasks as I can handle, at least till my 52-53 day long CPDN testing tasks are complete Downloads fine but uploads still crawling along at a fraction of even what my slow bored band is capable of. |

Got as many ARP tasks as I can handle, at least till my 52-53 day long CPDN testing tasks are complete Downloads fine but uploads still crawling along at a fraction of even what my slow bored band is capable of. None of the three that were uploading four hours ago have finished doing so yet and now there is one more with files to upload. |

WCG is dry. No tasks at all, regardless of project. But then, Dave was talking about uploads, and not downloads of new tasks. |

I don't think its possiable, I was getting "Tasks are committed to other platforms" which seems to be related to that my computer asked for too much work. https://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/HomogeneousRedundancy |

I don't think its possible, I was getting "Tasks are committed to other platforms" which seems to be related to that my computer asked for too much work.My guess is the message means that for that particular task type, they are sending batches to a particular OS be that Windows, Linux or MacOS for greater consistency between results. Don't know if they do it via a quota system or what. At CPDN each task type is for a single OS so the messages are slightly different. Even when they did have tasks for multiple operating systems, they didn't use the methods described in the link with each task only being completed once and they then used a statistical package to find results that were dodgy. |

I don't think its possiable, I was getting "Tasks are committed to other platforms" which seems to be related to that my computer asked for too much work. This is usually when multiple copies sent and application needs same device type. Could be for re-sends following inconclusive validation or original send if application needs 2 copies. Paul. Don't know what the heck is wrong with WCG... Can't login to the website from any computer or mobile web browser today... Keep getting error message "Invalid e-mail address and password provided". Nothing has changed unless a malicious person/bot has gained control of my account, which is doubtful. I think the WCG website is screwed up. I know I am using correct email & pwd. Tried the link to send / retrieve pwd info several hours ago and STILL WAITING for email. |

Thank you Paul! Cyclops posted: Hello PMH_UK, Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We looked for an email from Dr Who Fan but did not find any. We will look into what could be the cause of this issue for their account. Paul. |

Finally was able to login at WCG on one of my mobile devices DuckDuckGo web browser, a Chrome variation. Still have issues using Mozilla Firefox broswer desktop & mobile versions even after deleting WCG cookies. |

Well, I'm throwing my Current Streak of 1 year+ out the window, and will stop crunching WCG work, until WCG is really back. I have 4 MCM1 tasks left to crunch, and I will finish those. The announcement that they are back, was way too early, since we all know by now, that they are certainly not back to anything that can be called "normal". Since I'm not interested in any other projects, this means that all my computers will be turned off, and I will save a lot on my electricity bills. I'll keep an eye on the forum, and the status of WCG, and will return when I decide that it's worth it. I believe that will take several months. Until then, I wish you all a fine summer, in the northern hemisphere, and a fine winter in the southern hemisphere. |

At the moment the WCG website is down. It's Friday, so I guess they were playing with something they shouldn't play with the day before the weekend. The usual: "System error World Community Grid is currently experiencing an unexpected error. Please check Facebook or Twitter for more information." |

Been a while since I saw any work from them anyway. (I do only run ARP tasks from them. |
