Cannot easily log in. Seems their certificate expired Unable to connect An error occurred during a connection to asteroidsathome.com. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web. Neither windows nor ubuntu I can lot in using edge but have to cornfirm I know it is dangerous. Websites prove their identity via certificates, which are valid for a set time period. The certificate for asteroidsathome.net expired on 3/9/2023. Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE |

It's all good now. Took 6 hours for all my completed tasks to finally upload. I had a huge queue when the cert expired. Problem was exacerbated by the WGC tasks that cannot upload yet. BOINC tried and failed each upload of WCG before going on to Asteroids. I should have requested a restart of the transfers for just Asteroids. I suspect all my WCG have passed their deadline. |

I suspect all my WCG have passed their deadline. So has everyone else tasks. It's been down for 10+ days now. When WCG does finally rise from the ashes of it's most recent crash & burn, their network and server(s?) will probably crash & burn under the stress from the vast amount of tasks trying to upload at the same time. I vaguely recall a mention in their forums before it disappeared that they would extend deadline once it was back up. |

I vaguely recall a mention in their forums before it disappeared that they would extend deadline once it was back up.It was on FB and Twitter that they wrote that. The WCG forum was already down by then. The WCG team posted the following on FB and Twitter, on March 4: Additionally, the deadline of all existing WUs that are partially done will be extended and accepted once the hardware change is done. |

It's all good now. The website is back up now. WCG already announced this on Twitter on March 3: "Additionally, the deadline of all existing WUs that are partially done will be extended and accepted once the hardware change is done." https://twitter.com/WCGrid/status/1631819264809226241?cxt=HHwWgsC-ibi-saUtAAAA Deadlines haven't yet been extended, but from the most recent tweet, it looks like they're still working on recovering all the databases. |
