Changes from the https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Release_Notes
Please note that this is an advanced planning list only. Final design and detailed implementation has not yet been agreed: there is no version available for download, even for testing. |

As the opening post says, there is no version available for download, even for testing. This is just preliminary announcement, so that testers will know what to test for. |

Hi Team, Where can I find 7.22 client sw... all I see posted is 7.20.2 If you are interested in the most up to date version possible, you can download the master from 2.21.0 from git-hub and roll your own. Mine was last updated like that two days ago. I should check with Richard what needs checking with regards to curl in that respect, though finding it among the detritus from WCG will be interesting. |

TEST VERSION released for evaluation. Windows, Mac and Android versions available via the download all page. A query has been raised over the build procedure for Linux - might be advisable to wait for that one. |

A query has been raised over the build procedure for Linux - might be advisable to wait for that one. Compiled and installed OK here. On starting the updated client, it asked me to run systemctl daemon-reloadwhich I haven't seen before on updates within testing branch. Nothing untoward seen so far though given I am only running one or two tasks at a time, slowly running through my queue of CPDN work and building up my queue of uploads, probably not much chance for me to spot problems. |

The test versions have been withdrawn, because of a major problem with the handling of user preferences. |

Compiled and installed OK here. On starting the updated client, it asked me to run This must be run once whenever you touched a systemd service unit file. The command ensures systemd checks/updates it's data structures, e.g. dependencies to other services. |

Now back to Master from testing branch (7.23.0 ) 7.22.0 would often crash on going to transfers tab and then back to tasks. |

v7.22.1 for Android and Windows has crawled onto the 'download all' page. Release notes haven't been updated in the Wiki yet, but a version is available at Client/Manager Release 7.22.1. So far, this is a test/evaluation release only: treat with caution, and watch out for bugs. |

A new test version 7.22.2 for Apple Mac computers is available on the 'download all' page, and should be made available for Windows machines in the next few hours. The only significant change is to correct a bug which prevented the BOINC screensaver running on those two platforms. |

Edit: I think I should probably have written, "Trying without success to remember when i last used the 'BOINC screensaver." |
