I I have been running BOINC for many MANY years. Now that SETI is gone, I have been trying to attach to several projects but non seem to be uploading new task. ROSETTA is my go to but even they are now not serving up new task. What gives?

WCG have been migrating from IBM and are just in the testing phase. CPDN currently only has work for Linux and even that is erratic. Though based on what is going through testing there is some more on the way soon. There are a few projects that only run using virtual box and I know from experience that some of them can be problematic. I currently have a couple of weeks work between CPDN main site and testing branch. I haven't been trying any other projects since CPDN has had some again over the past week or two. Which projects have you tried? Does it say anything on their forums about what is going on?

The place to look for news about projects, is the Projects section.
This: Rosetta@home down? is the thread about Rosetta, where it says that you need to be running Python.

No, you DON'T need Python.
YOU NEED VIRTUALBOX installed, lots of free hard drives space (at least 15 to 20 GB FREE on your BOINC SETUP [Settings / DISK / Use no more than xx GB] just for Rosetta), Aprox 3 to 4 GB RAM per Rosetta tasks and enable Rosetta to send VIRTUALBOX tasks.

I removed Rosetta from my computers, as they only have 2GB of RAM, and have about 3,5GB available on free disk space (this includes Swap partition).
Since they have older, low power 1,44Ghz quadcore CPUs, they're not suited for those massive WUs anyway.
