Can anyone tell me if there's an easy way to control BOINC using IFTTT or something similar, presumably via BOINC's API?

What I'd like to achieve is to pause BOINC whenever the carbon intensity on the grid is high, and then restart it when it drops again.

I'm in the UK, so there's a few options on an API to find out the current carbon intensity - e.g. https://carbonintensity.org.uk/.

BOINC comes with the boinccmd utility that can be used to script certain functions. Using IFTTT with boinccmd should be fairly straight forward.

Ah yeah, that's probably easiest. I was thinking it would need to be something more complicated!

If I get a script working I'll post it back here, but it might take me a while.

Thanks :)
