Just noticed the description on the downloads page says the x64 Windows bundled version of Virtual Box is 6.1.12, but the one that installs is 6.0.14. I wonder if it got rolled back to an older version or they changed their minds about using the newer version but the description didn't get updated. I can see that happening if 6.1.12 got released in the bundle but it broke stuff. I think it's less likely that they forgot to bundle 6.1.12.

Interesting catch .... so long after the 7.16.20 release. Everything was a little hurried then to get the Patched BOINC released and available. They never bothered to Update the BOINC Version Release notes as well.

I went ahead and downloaded the Windows 64 Bit package with Vbox and installed it to verify that the gentleman was correct. Labeled as 7.16.20 with Vbox 6.1.12. When it unpacks it shows a Vbox of 6.0.14. After installation the Event Log of course shows a 6.0.14 Vbox installed and running

It appears that the links and packaging is incorrect

I would not really expect them to... When they released 7.16.20 they basically refused to update the release notes (a whole lot of "It's not my Job" ) and since "documenting" changes is one of the golden rules of programming they have lowered the bar significantly recently. Of course I am not involved at that level and there may be other issues and considerations as to the why and how things get done or reasons why they don't.
