'Remote Desktop" does NOT interfere with VirtualBox, it interferes with use of the Graphical Procesing Unit GPU in BOINC.

There are several good FREE remote desktop applications for Windows and Linux that allow you to control your PC as if you were sitting at the physical keyboard/monitor depending on if you need to learn the sound or not from the remote PC.

For Windows to/from Windows: Windows to/from Linux or Windows to/from Android I use ANYDESK[/url because it supports remote sound playback.

If I don't need remote sound I use [url=https://tightvnc.com/download.html]TIGHT VNC for Windows to Windows use.

Creating a second BOINC instance seems to have worked for me to receive some more python tasks. That's not going to be an option for 99% of installs out there though...
