This is the message log from a boinc user who asked me to help: sending scheduler request to http://climateprediction.net Reason: requested by user Note: not requesting new work or reporting results scheduler request to http://climateprediction.net succeeded The only thing I could come up with is he clicked "no new work" but this wasn't the case Its very hard to find out why it doesnt request new WU's. What could be the reasons to get this, and could you please include the reason why it doesn't request new WU's in the message-log? |

It would be nice if you could see the reason BOINC doesn't download any work. Just like you see the reason for the scheduler request... |

Of course. Although a little general knowledge about the program you run is useful, there is a wish list you could add that to: here. |

This is the message log from a boinc user who asked me to help: The messages listed will occur if the update button is clicked on the projects tab with the climateprediction project selected. If the user didn't do anything is it possible that this was this a trickle up message? I seem to recall the way trickle messages are reported has changed in various versions of the client. Newer versions of the client report trickle messages like this: [climateprediction.net] Sending scheduler request: To send trickle-up message [climateprediction.net] (not requesting new work or reporting completed tasks) [climateprediction.net] Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 507] You can see when trickle messages are recieved by climate prediction by looking at all the trickles for a result on the climate prediction web site and see if the time recieved for any of the trickles corresponds with the scheduler request in question. |
