Event log. This never stops but only on one computer. MYCROFT iMac I5 running Big Sur 11.3.1 but has been doing this for some time before the 11.3. Is this some problem or have I selected a wrong option someplace?

Looks like you have checkpoint_debug ticked under options>event log options. It is one of the options I only enable when I want that information for something specific e.g. comparing time between checkpoints when using different numbers of cores. As I am sure you have discovered it fills up the log with a lot of distracting information if you don't need it.

That's not the flag that got checked, the flag is always within square brackets [ ], so in this case the app_msg_receive flag is checked.

Edit: in case lots of other flags are checked, the default ones needed are: task, file_xfer and sched_ops. All others, if not debugging or needing extra information, can be turned off.

Thanks Jord. And yes, I only ever have those three flags checked except when debugging. (Most often in my case when there are problems with servers.)
