When you use BOINCView to attach your hosts to a project - it brings up a list of projects to make the attaching process easier. Unfortunately, it was only current at the time when BOINCView was released. Thanks to Webmaster Yoda, you can download and install an updated list of projects to attach to. The list is available as a zip file at http://www.boinc-australia.net/downloads/BV-Projects.zip Instructions on how to use it are available here . You should post it on BoincView's site... Peter |

Well I'm glad Trog Dog posted it here, I rarely visit the BV site! Yes, sure, (personally I'm glad too and immediately grasped it :-) but it could then find its way into each BoincView installation. Just now is the 1.4.1 approaching it's release point... Fine, if Webmaster Yoda and Trog Dog do not mind, I can offer it to amanheis too... OK? Peter |

Nice work, but no cigar. Mac users could really use a list of just those projects which will also run OS X. While all projects by definition (how arrogant) run PC, Mac users have to plow thrugh each sites' system specs, one by one, to see if there is even any point in subscribing to that project. I cannot locate such a list anywhere. It is hard to believe that an overall system approach such as BOINC, laden as it is with documents, has left this one out. btw, there are lists of projects, but none contain checkmark columns for which OS they support. Can anyone point me to such a comprehensive list, or supply one to BOINC for publication??? Thanks, dwdockins@charter.net |

While all projects by definition (how arrogant) run PC.... Not necessarily true. I can think of at least two projects off the top of my head that had/have only a Linux app and no Windows app. But it would be nice to have a list broken down by major OS. Kathryn :o) |
