April Fools 2008 and the unexpected but delightful Primates@Home experience.

These are a few saved pages that Pirates@Home redirected to for an April Fool prank in 2008. It was a clone of the Pirates site with a monkey template overlay.
The inspiration came from Chief Petty Officer Stainless Cutlass (Jord) when he mentioned that when he visited Pirates@Home shortly before this, he was strangely seeing Primates@Home instead.
It was a great adventure browsing the site to see the witty monkey alterations. An example was that users avatars were replaced with monkey themed pics.
This was mine.

Eric fired them back up for the rest of the day, there's no database though, only the front page.

The Pirates@Home site stopped redirecting yesterday, but it's good to see that Primates@Home stayed live this time.
