Hi,
My manager is calculating a task for collatz conjecture since 2 days. Estimated finish time is 10 days 15h and deadline is before the estimated finish.

It would be cool to add a column with "Estimated finish" also you can see if the task is finishable or not.

And why the deadline is so close ? My computer will never finish this task also I cancelled it.

Thank you for any help.

The short deadline is down to the project (Collatz) and there is nothing that BOINC can do about that.
As to your other question, in the advanced view there is a column which shows what you are asking for, it's called "Remaining" (or at least in BOINC 7.16.11 on Windows).

Thank you for your answer. Yes I know my idea was to have a column
displaying the estimating end date (so you don't have to calculate now + remaining)

Sorry for my english if it's not very clear it's not my main language

I see what you are asking, however there is one problem that I can see.
BOINC does not know how many hours a day an individual computer is going to run for in the future. While the computer may have been running for 24 hours a day in the past the user may turn it off for several days and thus the prediction would be very wrong, whereas the user probably has a reasonable idea of what they are going to be doing over the next few days.

Oh OK yes I understand what you mean.

For me it was just a little calculation like Estimated remaining time + Current time.
