It's no good being added to the "voting" if you don't understand how Github works.
A crude description is that there are two main parts, the first is the code repository and version control, and the second is the bug tracking.
The first part is designed to limit access to releasing software and so is quite secure.
The second is a bit like any other forum in that registered users can post a bug report or feature request, others can then discuss it, and someone (or group of someones) will decide if the report/request is valid and how important it is. If it is deemed to be important enough then there will be a cycle of analysis, coding and testing before release. If it is judged to be of low importance then it just gets parked to gather dust - as has happened to report #42.........

(I'm sure Richard or others will be along to fill in the blanks/correct my summary)

(and I've deliberately not mentioned branches, roots etc.........)
