I started getting this error message yesterday--or maybe somewhat earlier than that; I'm not sure, as I don't often check my error messages. What is causing this error? I run no software firewall. I have a new router, but could this error possibly be caused by that, even though all other connectivity seems fine? (I've also tried disabling SPI on the router--it was no help.) I've restarted the BOINC service, but it makes no difference. I can't report work or get more because of this annoying error! |

Could you please give the messages from the Message tab? The last 20 or so will do fine. |

Every now and then I get the same error from various projects. It usually means that they are either offline or have lost their connection to the net. As long as it is only a random occurrence and doesn't persist more than a day or two, I don't worry about it. I'm currently getting the same error from WCG. edit: You could have checked their web site and seen these threads on their message board BOINC servers down or BOINC Servers Down Note: Each project is run independently from BOINC. As long as it is only a random occurrence and doesn't persist more that a day or two, I don't worry about it. I'm so glad I switched back to my old router, thinking the problem might be on my end. I did check their site, just not the forums. I am so utterly sorry to you for that. |

No problem. I find that most project are not good at updating their home page, and their tech news tend to be updated only after the problem is resolved. Message boards are often more au courant. Boinc V 7.4.36 Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB NVidia 470 |
