Suella Braverman was right to accuse police chiefs of 'double standards' in how they tackle different protests. And I should know – because for the past decade I have served as an officer on the Met's frontline.

All religious groups are nuts. Let them fight it out themselves.

Cruella has her goals set on the Tory Party leadership position which if Starmer doesn't do anything monumentally stupid which results in him losing the next election, she may well get.

Do you seriously think anyone is going to vote Tory again? they've done so much wrong in the last term.

I can only refer you to the words frequently attributed to Einstein, "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe."

Sometimes I wonder how we're still alive and the dominant race, then I look at how stupid dogs are.

It helps to get blind drunk, then you can stoop to the level of the rest of the population.

Cruella has ...
... been sacked.

Good riddance. She wasn't even allowed the weasel's way out of resigning.

Let me get this straight, there were anti-Jew mobs, the police were letting them get on with it, Suella disagreed with the police, you disagree with her, so therefore you're anti-Jewish? Or just less anti the other nutty religion?

The overwhelming majority of those on the march and certainly all of my friends who were on the march were there because they are pro peace not because they are anti Jewish. I abhor what Hamas has done. I also abhor many of the actions of the state of Israel over the years as do my Jewish friends. Cruella's tacit support of the right wing counter demonstration by not calling it out and her inability to distinguish between the anti Jewish elements that I have no doubt were present on the march on Saturday demonstrate a lack of perspective that is not in my mind compatible with the position she held. To me, she is probably the most hate filled politician in parliament today.

Confirmed. David Cameron is the new foreign secretary. Means he’s going to the Lords.
Congrats.

I see no way to distinguish between either side of the conflict, and resent any of our taxes helping either side. I refuse to vote for any government who wastes our money on problems nothing to do with us. God botherers do not interest me.

Shockwaves in the EU?
Will we see a "Nexit" on the cards?

Nah. Let's first see if the PVV gets into government, as almost all other (bigger) parties have ruled out to govern with them.
It should be a wake-up call, though. Because if they ignore this party and go form government without it, then the following elections, the PVV will become even bigger. Especially with these hateful flags being flown in demonstrations in the streets.

Agree. The problem is though, parties like the PVV can only get bigger due to the EU & the West as well fumbling around concerned about what is happening around the world while ignoring their own citizens.
That chicken is not far from coming home to roost.

I don't see the problem, they're the biggest, they get in. They don't need the others to help them. A hung parliament works just fine, he would only get through whatever some parts of other parties agreed with. (Assuming their parliament is similar the the UK). We certainly need parties like this or we're going to get overrun.

It isn't like the UK. In a proportional system the largest party gets the first go at forming a government but if they can't get others on board they can end up not being part of government at all.
