If you click on the individual projects shown in the current Win 7.16.7 (x64) Project Add Tool, 15 of the 25 project URL's show as http: listings vs 10 https: listings, A great many of the projects listed as http: have converted to uttps:

Would it be proactive to route new volunteers through the more secure https: side ?

Can this be done during the next release ?

I thought BOINC get the up to date list from the web? Not sure if updating their entry on that list is something the projects need to do their end so the list picks it up?

It's not necessary for the project wizard to have all URLs in HTTPS format as internally the BOINC client will add those projects as HTTPS even when the starting URL is HTTP. The Project will send the updated URL back to the client at add time and then the switch takes place. Nothing you have to do, and it's not necessary for the project list to have those URLs as HTTPS at standard.
