No, it looks like it's more alike Science United, but with a GUI. Default attached to Rosetta and WCG. But then Chinese. And no open source code.

What is the reason for installing that when we have the official clients?

I wonder if that is the first step towards an independent Chinese "Boinc"

Agree!

I would never install anything with ties to the Chinese. You don't know what the software is communicating with even if they have source code publicly available.

Well, I must have sent them my gmail address at least a dozen times over the last three weeks, and they've sent me the same number of verify codes in return.

Every single one of them has been 'incorrect or expired' before it even reached me.

Half joking, but you never know in this crazy world.

Maybe you have to convert the codes (if numbers) to Chinese number characters:

And/or, the letters to Chinese characters.

Well, I always get sent six numeric digits as the verify code. If I make a mistake when entering it, the site tells me that I haven't entered six digits as required. I've tried doing it with a copy'n'paste, and I've tried doing it by keying the digits manually. All fail.

And if you enter them backwards?

They're Chinese, not Arabic. So top to bottom!
Get six codes, write down the first digit of each code, to get your new secret six digit code. 😂
