In reply to Richard Haselgrove's message of 13 Aug 2024: I suppose I should report this one too, but since I've had no reaction to my previous one except Vitalii's one-liner, I can't be bothered. Maybe in eight and a half years? lol "In reply to Richard Haselgrove's message of 13 Aug 2024:" Uhm, I'll pass by later today, when I am not floating out of the computer room, unguided. Has the Post button gotten smaller in size? |

And PS, I think that the username is AgentB, without the 1. That one I know... He's been on here and other fora. |

Well, David's taken the cheap way out - the checkbox is still there, but unchecked by default. |

Uhm, what? Test post. Okay, but that's what we wanted, right? Not an immediate and unchangable auto-subscribe to all threads we posted in? Maybe the threat of a project becoming an email-spammer worked. |

Okay, but that's what we wanted, right?Seems reasonable to me - makes it easy for anyone who wants to subscribe to do so but doesn't shove it down their throat. |

Major grumble... Here in the USA, if you want to watch all or even some the "major sports games" it's getting extremely unaffordable. The price of Cable TV is ridiculous also. Is it this bad over in Europe, U.K., Australia, etc? Saving on ‘cord cutting’ to watch sports is over. The price of streaming is outrageous! |

Is it this bad over in Europe, U.K., Australia, etc?A very mixed picture here. Some major sports events are on free to air TV such as BBC, some you have to subscribe to a specific streaming service after which anything they put out is free and some you have to pay a fortune for.Not that I watch any sticking to radio for my entertainment but that is another story. |

grumble Idiots who can't secure their networks but have my data on them got 7 alerts that my data is posted on the dark web. That's all my data not just one item. I guess they really did post every American's records. |

grumble Idiots who can't secure their networks but have my data on them... The most recent compromise I was alerted to on dark web was all my old home and cell phone call records & detailed account info including passwords going back 20+ years by the "Death Star logo" Telco. Seems like a lot of weak/easy to guess passwords; email and passwords reused across multiple sites. Probably caused by id10t'$ who will open any email at work (or at home) even though they don't know who it's from and then open the attachment(s) to see what it is, thus compromising their PC and probably their employer's networks. |

Glory. For the 2nd year running, bypassed the energy increases for Oct & Jan. Electric will need topping up 25-26/4/25. Gas enough for 420 days ( could be much less depending on Winter usage). Grumble. This year though will affect my wallet to the tune of £200, courtesy of Ms Reeve's "hard" decsion over the £22B in the Gov's finances. |

Also missing out on winter fuel allowance. Glory: Changed electricity tariff and car charging at night is now 8.8p/KWH as is anything else running then. |
