grumble, provider A points finger at provider B after three hours level 2 support with screen share too. Provider B's equipment at B's office passes all tests as 100% operational, still do a full software reload. Provider B points finger at Provider A and notes it is common and A won't admit it, however it is so common B had to revise support policy and B's tech personally had the same issue! Apparently provider A's equipment is not behaving correctly on initialization for B's equipment. Grumble how the heck to get A to fix the issue (for me)? Oh, A is a $104B company and B is a $3T company. There I named them. |

There I named them.To some maybe LOL! Not to me you didn't! But, company A blaming company B and vice versa is not a scenario I am unfamiliar with. |

Grumble: Whether I download it via the app store or download the .deb file from the zoom site, on opening up Zoom, I see a message telling me an update is available. If I click on the link to download the update it takes me to the same .deb file. |

Glory! Climate Prediction Net (CPDN) has exported stats since forever. Hopefully, they have it fixed this time. |

Glory! Climate Prediction Net (CPDN) has exported stats since forever. Hopefully, they have it fixed this time. I saw an email from Andy earlier today. I expected it sometime tomorrow. There was an issue with ensuring correct credit for some task types that they wanted to resolve before turning it back on. |

Grumble. I think the pandemic gave many companies the opportunity to continue to rip us off or insult our intelligence. Still haven' got around to doing that new build as RLI kept getting in the way. In one respect, it was a good thing. 1st the mouse used on this rig died following by the KB a couple of days later. No problem, just pinch the new build ones. Now for the "fun". Ordered a replacement set & also another HD as I don't like M$ with their Win11 crappola. Having 2 drives, 1 for Win 11 & 1 for Linux Mint 21.2. Okay, KB & M arrived this afternoon, but no HD. Hmm, checked order on A/c. Gives list of recent orders with the latest on top - this states - processing order. Click on actual order - Waiting dispatch. Sheesh. When placing the order (Ebuyer no longer do free deliveries for orders over £50). So selected standard 5 day delivery @£4.99 - a saving of £2 over the next delivery option. Order placed on 31/8 & stated that both will arrive on 8/9 (6 working days later). Well KB&M arrived in 5 days but HD? I'd be very surprised if it arrives tomorrow as this year have experienced issues with HD deliveries from both Ebuyer & Amazon. |

Ouch, this hurts. Are we being fleeced? Part of an e-mail received in June: From 1 July based on your usage, what you pay on average for electricity per month will be changing from £109.95 to £100.78, and what you pay on average for gas will be changing from £33.00 to £25.93.Part of an E-mail received in August: From 1 October based on your usage, what you pay (on average) for electricity per month will be changing from £86.48 to £80.46, and what you pay (on average) on average for gas will be changing from £25.93 to £23.94.Now I slightly miscalculated. I thought I'd had enough to see us through to 1-2/10, but the readings taken earlier this month, knew that wouldn't be the case. So topped up key for £25 expecting that to see us through to the new cap. No chance. Used that top up on 21st. The nest 2 readings 24th & 27th shows that nearly £26 has been used in 6 days. That's a pro-ratia of over £111 per month. The only thing I can think of was the new government action that pre-payment customers paid the same as those on DD. Definitely think we're being fleeced. Edit. I'l like to know how they arrive at those averages. Last 12 months it's been £70.20 p/m. Previous 12 months it's been £66,16 p/m. |

Waiting to see what ours is with the reduced price. Month to 15th Sept £60.59 for gas and electricity combined. |

Since we had that new boiler, our gas usage has been pretty low. As for Electric, it's only a 1 bed flat with no new electric appliances of any kind so can't understand the sudden jump in usage. Due to RLI, haven't got around to building that new rig. I suppose. I'll just have to wait for Oct readings to see if any or what changes are there. |

You have to understand 1) Usage is not directly related to money 2) Fixed cost 3) computer bugs 4) muppets 5) fraud 6) PooTin surtax 7) unhoused tapped the line 8) systemic meter errors |

Not sure if it's Glory (new/better "computer") or Grumble (availability & price)... What’s as fast as two Raspberry Pi 4s? The brand-new Raspberry Pi 5 Hack A Day has some comparisons |

Grumble: When a post is removed for whatever reason by the moderators. (Not complaining about the removals.) The time of posting remains the most recent for that section of the forum till something else is posted there, leading me to look for the new post. (Most recent example was in Web Interfaces.) |

Yeah that requires a specific order. Hide post first. Hide title next. Then delete the post. If I just hide the title, or delete the post without hiding it first, the time isn't adjusted. Which is what happened there. Sorry. 😉 |
