Most people just have a couple of days in bed, hopefully she's ok. Just give her first class room service for a bit.
One of my regular clients is currently in hospital. She was taken in on the 5th of July, and repeated covid tests have returned positive. Today I was asked to go to her house, and confirm that a laptop was properly set up to access email, for her husband to deliver in his daily visit.

She's over 80, and has not been vaccinated.

Why do you get so upset about a smell? Why should a non-smoker have more rights than a smoker?
Why do people get upset with people making love in public?

Can I jump on this bandwagon?

I think all druggies, drunks & speeders should be permantly locked up & the key thrown away.
Our NHS will then be able to cope with no pressure. :-)

Not that I disagree, but if we are to believe the politicians, then most of the taxes on tobacco and alcohol go to funding the NHS.
And therefore "Would the NHS manage on the reduced budget?".

Have you looked at the cost/week of keeping someone in prison recently? While in theory I agree, I am not so sure it works in practice.

Considering that some time ago, it was stated that smokers cost the NHS £5bn a year.
ROFPMSL.
At that time, the government were raking in £13bn from smokers.
BTW guys, I was being my usual mischievous self. :-)
Edit.
Also, didn't Bozo the Clown say that he would freeze sin taxes?
Fat chance it happened, seen several increases since then.

On top of that you have to add the tax revenue lost to the economy when these people are not working.

Do away with prisons. Minor offence, community service. Major offence, death penalty.

Grumble: 3KW immersion ordered for Akvaterm thermal store tank to replace the 1KW one that came with the tank. Warning on website that it takes up to 12 days. Firm contacted at 14 days. They sent me tracking no for Finnish postal system. It had only just gone into the, "Posti" system there. I followed it as it made its way to clearing customs to be flown to UK. Now the tracking system says,
Awaiting payment of customs charges Cambridge Depot
No mention of this on the UK site where I ordered it. Have emailed company asking when they will be paying the customs duty.

Why should we pay more to buy something from another country?
to keep the border guards there to keep out all the riff raff form other countries for squeezing you off your island?
