Got a message from seller not long after.
It was sent next day delivery on 30/6.
Apparently, they had numerous issues with DPD for the past several days with items being "stranded".
I believe it.
2 options available to bypass Win 11 M$ A/c to use a local A/c.
Option+F10 failed (taskmger came up but network flow failed to show).
Option 2 worked a charm, just entered M$ A/c then disconnected from the Net.
Had to hit next 4 times but eventually, all good job done.
Oh those frigging updates...
...but 64 bit O/S & double the ram of previous laptop. fast. :-)
Just 2 little issues.
Thinner & lighter than previous laptop (both were 17") but a bit longer.
No removable battery?
TweakUI took care of the other issues. :-)

All that fuss with creating a bootable rufus. Just as easy to hover over next then click 4x.

It has been too prolonged for over a year! (Someone will probably suggest a longer time frame.)
