If you have received a death threat, don't wait until Saturday to file a report with the police. Do it immediately.
I did, it's them who said I can come Saturday for the report. They're apparently overburdened.

Things seem to have been busy while I have been away! #understatement

Glory: 3.6KW of solar installed on West facing side of roof to complement the 1.92KW on the East facing side which also has solar thermal panels.

Grumble: Selling exported electricity from both sets of panels when one receives the Feed in Tariff and the other does not is far from straightforward whether both go to the same company or not.

Enjoy your newfound freedoms, in the UK as soon they'll be gone again.
"The prime minister confirms vaccine passports will be compulsory for clubbers from the end of September, without an option to show a negative test instead. The government had said it could make proof of vaccination mandatory but now it's saying it definitely will, regardless of what happens over the coming weeks."

Fortunately, my night clubbing days are long gone. A pint or two of a nice locally brewed beer in a congenial pub is much more my style!

But this is just the beginning. It starts with clubs and "some other venues", and before you know it, it's compulsory to have it everywhere. Your care home people have to have compulsory two dose vaccinations by October, it's just waiting for other work areas to follow. Quite scary.

By the way, three weeks ago our night clubs reopened, at the time we had just above 1,000 new covid cases a day.
Since last week we have a daily 10,000 new covid cases and our night clubs have closed again. We'll check up on jolly old UK in 2 weeks time then.

Same here, and the same optimal solution.

To which can be added: if you are a de facto regular, whether known by that name or not, you only have to supply contact details etc. once per 'rule set lifetime' (with occasional refresher courses for new staff - I had four old hands explaining to a newbie last week "it's just Richard, he knows what to do").

But that causes a problem for these so-called passports. A vaccination certificate should have a serious lifetime and an expiry date - I'd guess a year, in this case. But a test certificate will be chip-wrappings after three days: you can't combine them.

Last week LA had a 0.4% positivity rate, it now has a 4.0% positivity rate and a mask mandate.

Before doing my obstetrics placement as part of my nursing training we were all checked for immunity to rubella (German measles) and those without immunity had to be vaccinated or they would not have been able to continue with their training. I assume this still happens for those working in that field. I don't have a particular problem with insisting those working with those most at risk having to be vaccinated, though they should be offered some compensation if they choose to not be vaccinated leave their work.

As to the night clubs, I fully expect them to close along with I don't know what else in a few weeks time when Johnson finally realises he has made a mistake. He always insists they are following the science but it is at such a distance, they need a telescope to see what it is doing.

Actually, I think there were only three of them, total!

That's three more nights of paying to go clubbing than I've done.
But I have to exclude the nights when I was paid to be in a club, and didn't really enjoy the experience, but did like the thickness of the pay packet (those were the days of CiH)

Ah, the good old days of CiH. :-)
Grumble
WTD destroyed even the legitimate ways of earning extra.
Used to love getting calls on a Friday evening (most drivers often used to go out on the sauce), not long after returning home from a long day on tacho.
Told caller (agency night supervisor to call them back & ask if they could get load in a 3.5)
Yep, so did it - Edgbaston, Bristol & Avonmouth.
More often as not, used to be back hoome around 2am (started run around 8pm)

I did do the report Saturday morning. It's going to take some weeks to be written down and sent to me for review. Meanwhile Victim Support reached out to me, I'll keep them under deliberation if I need them at any time. The fact that my best friend had to go into hiding over this is what gave me the most problems the past week, but she called the other day so I'm doing better. She's missing me like crazy, that feeling is very mutual. I just hope that in the end they'll pick up this guy and just drop his behind over the border, persona non grata. He's not getting a citizenship anyway, so he's now really very much an illegal and can be removed from this country - not that that ever happens.

Time to take a break. Been hunting for over an hour why part of my page was white all of a sudden, then found it, I'd put a background: #ffffffff; in the section element of my CSS file without noticing there where two sections above where that code should start. At least I found it. :p

But having said that, I now found the desktop switch option in Windows 10 and find it refreshingly good. I can park all my programming stuff in one desktop, and when I want to do something else, switch to my second desktop and work there. Only had to remember to turn hibernation on, so the desktop state is saved to disk.

Grumble
I hate customer services!
Just got off the phone with Cool Hand Luke from Mumbai (representing 1 of our top supermarkets).
Placed an online order Fri for collection on Sat morning.
Collected but 1 product unavailable. No problem.
Checked with other supermarkets, they sell missing poduct.
However, it is not available with them either, so check elsewhere online.
Big problem.
Problem, product is discontinued.
Why is product still online for sale?
Why does it take 20 seconds approx, after confirming order to money being taken & e-mail sent, yet days to refund any monies due?
Cool Hand Luke couldn't understand the questions so continued with his script, so hung up.
That's £100 stuck in cyberspace for at least a week. :-(

In that case Glory.
I bought qty 2 items in store last Thursday along with some other items, only to find first one unpacked to be assembled incorrectly. Opened second box at bottom so I could visually check it was the same, it was.
So took them back to the shop, they promised refund to card within 3 days.
Checked card a/c Friday, refund was there, but the funds for the original items purchased had not been withdrawn. That happened Saturday.

Would have been nice to have the items assemble correctly though!

Well, the threat of being summoned for fraud must have worked its way up the ladder.
£98 [4x unavailable items)refunded to a/c.since 14::00 (last time of checking).

Grumble
Total amount of £102.71 still in pending, so technically, unavailable to access. Really not a problem atm.
It would have been a nice glory without any grumbles if website is monitored to show out of stock/unavailable that is discontinued to be removed from sale.
