I'm sorry to intrude into private grief, but I have to state my case. I regard myself as a liberal, and sometimes even as a socialist. I'm not a communist, and I have never been a formal member of a political party - although I've voted whenever possible.

I do find the relentless repetition of the McCarthyite position: "Are you now, or have you ever been a member of the Communist party?" distressing and unhelpful. I prefer the formulation "From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs" - it's much closer to my own position, and in close accordance with the teachings of the New Testament.

You were banned for discussion moderator actions which is against the rules, and more importantly describing moderators using the "C" word. I care nothing about your politics, but I will not sit by and take that sort of language from anyone.

So you believe only a few are offended by your language, which I do not believe and is totally beside the point, there are rules. You broke several in quick succession. You know better than anyone what the rules are so please don't play the persecuted here.

Make your points using facts and without using obscenities or calling out the moderators and your post will not be hidden and you will not end up getting banned.

Police are minions. Mods are judges. Try abusively arguing with a judge in his courtroom about his job.

As to the banned one, he easily can make his points without being abusive, but he doesn't want to. (Really, is it impossible to not use cuss words at individuals?) Instead, just like booze, he wants to harm himself so he gets the spotlight on his antics rather than his argument.

Keep it cool everyone. While I understand it necessary for the narrative on what happened, I'd rather that you don't discuss moderator action taken on other boards on these boards. I've removed one offending post, let's keep it at that. Discussion is fine, even heated, but as Gary said, you can easily do so without being abusive.

Edit: and as just had been shown by someone not reading what I wrote, I don't allow ANY abuse anymore. If you cannot post without having to be abusive, or challenge others about anything while calling them anything, be prepared to get a vacation.

I do tend to agree, unless human life is a stake due to some ignorance, say parking on railroad tracks.

If you have received a death threat, don't wait until Saturday to file a report with the police. Do it immediately.
