How do you get a 2CV to run for 12 hours?
Proper preparation, more preparation, (all we did was put some new plugs in and polished the windscreen, but we were still running at the end unlike a few others) and being careful how you drive (or have a spare engine which you aren't meant to change during the race., but ...), and large dose of humour. There was a list of things that you could change during the race including wiper blades & tyres (why wiper blades? we never did work that one out). Being a charity event there were a couple of really silly prizes, like everyone in the team wearing the same fancy dress (I do mean DRESS), eating the most cream cakes in a lap, and burning the most oil - we failed on all three, but the lads who won the cream cakes round had t make a very urgent pit stop shortly after that lap.....

Neither is as good as a fast car fast.

Well, that all depends on one's definition of "fun". Driving a proper fast car fast is relatively simple and boring, but getting the utmost from a slow car is a big challenge and very rewarding when you get it right (remember I've driven cars capable of well over 300kph so I do know both ends of the performance spectrum).

]In the UK you are not required to carry any papers. I thought only Russia still did things like that. The only muppet in the above was the bacon.
Suggest you look into HGV rules & regulations.
A driver while at work must have all 3 cards in their possesion(Digicard in tacho) & DL photocard+dCPC card.
It is an offence not to have them in your possession..
The law requires them to carry the card as evidence that the required training has been completed and the qualification is still current. If a driver cannot produce a DQC when asked by the police or DVSA, a fixed penalty of £50 will normally be issued. The maximum penalty for failing to produce a DQC is a £1,000 fine for both driver and operator.

Glory: Mobile network provider changed, old number transferred and I am paying less for a 30GB limit than I was for 10GB/month. 4G is faster than my ADSL so now set up with bonding to combine both connections. Still not fast by modern standards but almost three times previous speed.

Yesterday I installed Windows 10 20H2 on two of my systems.
One has a 7,200rpm HDD, the other an NVMe SSD.

The system with the HDD has the least installed on it, it's just a basic machine to cater the NAS to watch stuff of TV.
The system with the SSD is my gaming rig.

HDD: 35 minutes.
SSD: 2 minutes.

Next I'll be installing an SSD in the system with the HDD. It is the way forward. :)

What will they think of next?
Scientist find Indoor Dust can be used as a Matrix for Surveillance of COVID-19

One researcher was quoted:
“We wanted to demonstrate that dust could be complementary to wastewater for surveillance. Wastewater is great for a large population, but not everybody sheds the virus in feces, and you have to collect wastewater samples, which not everyone wants to do,”

Here's a couple of conundrums for those that look at UK driving laws.

Contactless payment at the drive-thru

Max penalty: A ban, 3 points and a £1,000 fine

With more drive-thrus reopening, drivers are encouraged to use contactless payments. But if you use the likes of Google Pay and Apple Pay at the drive-thru window, you could be penalised for using your mobile phone while driving.

Wearing sunglasses – or not wearing them

Max penalty: A ban, 3-9 points and an unlimited fine

Everyday sunglasses can be too dark for driving, according to the AA. Some sunglasses can also affect your sight, as the edge of the frame blocks your peripheral vision. If your sunglasses aren’t fit for driving, you could be penalised for careless and inconsiderate driving.

On the other hand, the Highway Code says you should pull over if you are ever ‘dazzled by bright sunlight’. If you aren’t wearing the correct sunglasses that safely prevent you from being dazzled, you could risk being hit with a fine for careless driving.

Fairly simple for the first one when popping into a drive through for a caffeine fix one is not on a public highway so the rules about hand holding phones don't apply. A bit more hazy when paying at a toll booth on the M6Troll road.
(Also don't forget that consuming said caffeine fix while driving is an offence......)

I thought rules were meant to be broken.
Sounds similar to some of the old stupid driving rules still on the books here in various US states. Sample: 16 Weird Driving Laws from around the United States

Perhaps on your side of the pond, but not on this side of the pond, if it was meant for a car to drive upon, rules apply. One drink driver found out by operating a backhoe across a private car park at his employment and being charged with operating a MV while he was suspended.

Rules are for the guidance of wise men and the obedience of fools.

Glory: Swarm of bees have moved into the home I prepared for them. Now I just have to wait a while before I can collect some rent.
