Plenty of Vitamin D - just the problem of having suffered a long winter and not being able to get outside as much as I want to.

Plenty of Vitamin D
If I can get into its packaging, I'll have one Colecalciferol Benferol on top of having spent 6 hours in 20C today.

It's public knowledge - you can even be jailed for not allowing your child to have a measles injection. Look up the anti-vax movement.

What winter? Even in Scotland there were only a few days with 5 inches of snow. Easy enough to get out and about as normal. They haven't made exercise illegal yet.

Some researchers suggest most in UK should take Vitamin D supplements throughout the year, never mind in winter when there is only enough bright enough light to be significant for about an hour or two around midday.

Having a tan is NOT related to having had enough vitamin D (either by ingestion or metabolism within the body), it is the result of the skin being exposed to UV radiation and is a sort of cellular level protection.

TOTALLY WRONG.
One can get a really great tan without getting an adequate does of UV required to generate enough vitamin D. While the generation of a tan is in many people indicative of getting enough (of the right class of UV) some folks will tan even in the absence of any UV. And I am excluding the use of sprays and the like). Also there are people who will tan in the presence of the "right" UV and generate zero vitamin D.

As someone who does not naturally produce vitamin D I would suggest I know a lot more about the production of the human production of vitamin D than you do.
(But I do tan, sit outside on a old dark night and I will develop a tan)

Psst Rob, that's called soot and means you have to ask your neighbors to clean their chimney. 😜

As one who worked as a nurse for thirty years and at one time could have listed the chemical pathways involved in the body's production of Vitamin D I am tempted to muddy the waters with facts but on this occasion will decline as I am sure Rob knows the same information as I do.
