People who are invited to be vaccinated, make an appointment, go to get vaccinated at the selected location and time. THEN refuse to be vaccinated for no good reason at all. Total oxygen wasters. |

People who are invited to be vaccinated, make an appointment, go to get vaccinated at the selected location and time. THEN refuse to be vaccinated for no good reason at all.Probably the same people who go to a polling station to spoil their ballot papers. It's called 'abstaining in person'. I did that once. A particularly pointless election, where nobody knew any of the candidates. I wrote a long version of "none of the above", complaining about the waste of money. Spoke with the person in charge of the election, later (in the pub) after he was off duty. "You spent a long time writing in that voting booth", he said. And a few moments later: "A lot of people did that". |

Oh and er.... you're arguing with me right now.If you don't like the answer, the other side is arguing with you? I answered you in as neutral a way as possible, but since you seem to try to get into an argument - considering the rest of your answers to my post - I'll do my next best thing and not answer you anymore. Have a nice day. |

So to fix this "problem", the Japanese are going to launch wooden satellites! It does have a real advantage though, wood lets EM signals through it unlike aluminium, so you can protect the delicate circuitry from er.... wouldn't anything hitting a satellite in space go through wood? Yes but it will also go through aluminium. |

Yes metal does block EMR, but it is surprising how little metal is actually needed. The main reason for (most) desktop computers having metal cases isn't to block EMR but it's cheap and strong. These days many larger satellites are made from a metal chassis, which provides the strength with some form of metallised film as the outer skin to provide both solar and EMR protection. On re-entry the film vaporises just about instantly, while the chassis may be able to survive to the ground (or at least a fair way to the ground). What the Japanese are looking at is replacing the chassis with wood, and possibly the metallised film with metallised wood, or reflective/conductive-film coated wood. On re-entry such a structure will burn up much faster, or rather vaporise much faster - there's not enough oxygen up there for wood to burn. Of course they are looking at the micro-satellite end of the market, not the giants like the JWST - the antenna on a micro-satellite represents quite a large proportion of the hardware, and to get it to deploy properly is quite an interesting problem, but if you can put it inside then that problem goes away. That said, some micro-satellites have their antenna as part of the outer surface so no deployment issues there, only hope the thing is pointing in the right direction. |

I'll do that. On the other hand, I'll let my ex know to post here if things go south. ;-) |

There has never been a law in the UK making vaccinations compulsory, and that includes the one for Covid. So stop fussing. |

Apparently in some US states they actually force you to have it by law!?Where did you hear that claptrap? |
