Grumble
.. B4rrrrrr!

It's almost 9 in the morning here in Fort Worth Texas metro area

REAL OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE is +5 F / -15, Wind chill -5 F / -15 C and will get even colder overnight tonight. Have about 4 inches of snow on the ground and more to arrive on Wednesday.

Posting via my cell phone.

MANDATORY Rolling power black outs for 30 minutes to 2 hours have started throughout the whole state to prevent power grid overloads.

My internet broadband gateway got fried overnight from the power outage. Called my ISP for swap and it's probably not going to arrive until Thursday or Friday depending on when UPS or FedEx can get delivery vehicles on the roads.

Also on BBC link, first four travellers fined £10K each for lying about where they have travelled from on flying in to Birmingham.

Our curfew has been reinstated until the outcome of the appeal case this Friday. Back inside all. It's raining anyway.

For those in need of a good laugh: First Person Shooter Logic. I just spent two and a half hours in such situations, I can relate. Really.

Raistmer emailed Eric K yesterday, to ask him to re-instate the SVN repository holding all the SETI application code...

And that has something to do with the message board timing out? (Message board is now totally useless)

Well, if it involved loading new software, and then reinstating a code database onto a replacement server that's trying to handle too much already, it might. Just a suggestion.

Whatever the trouble was, it's cleared now.

Ah, OK, that's plausible.

And the problem is back again, after having been gone for awhile.

The servers were having a dance last night and one of them kicked a chair and is now dancing round the room in agony - every now and then it will be a position to do something useful.......

I honestly have no idea what it is that upsets you about my posts.
If you want to know, PM the moderator who posted that. We're not discussing this on the boards. As for rules, look to the left of the window in which you formulate your answer, and before hastily pressing Post reply, consider that what you write isn't against anything in those rules.

It's not those rules that get broken, it's "special ones" that apply in these threads only.
There are some community rules yes, which you'll get to know if you're here long enough and try to learn instead of telling everyone that you're the new alpha dog and that none of the previous rules apply to you. There's also netiquette and common courtesy.

And it's not always stated which moderator is upset.
When posts are hidden you can see on the email that's sent out automatically whodunnit. Too bad the forum banishment code doesn't state which moderator did it. But in this case you know as they made themselves known on the forum and you answered them.
And they ignore PMs.
Try being friendly.

It would be quite funny though if they banned 50 users at once - that was the promise, so if an argument occurs, I expect to see many people disappearing.
The promise was made after you were banished. I know, as I wrote it. So the next time you get banished, you'll probably not be the only one.
