That's what I always said should happen, so it is actually the case over there? Causing an accident gets points on your license? They should do that instead of speeding tickets. Much better for someone to speed and never crash than someone to drive at the limit and cause accidents. Yet in the UK, the speeder gets the punishment.

Given how many accidents are caused by speeding, to me, it makes sense. If you cause a crash and are deemed to be at fault if sufficiently egregious you will get done for dangerous driving/driving without due care and attention as well as for the speeding if caught for that.

AFAIK ethyl (grain) alcohol is what's supposed to be used in hand sanitizers, not methanol alcohol which is commonly used in automotive antifreeze, etc.

Guessing she was trying to get high or drunk on the "alcohol" content.

While it is the norm for these hand sanitising gels and solutions to use ethanol I don't believe there is an actual requirement that their alcohol content is ONLY ethanol. Methanol, and propanol are both more toxic than ethanol to various species of bugs (and life in general).

(btw methanol is not a very good material to use in automotive anti-freeze as it has quite a low boiling point - more commonly used are various glycols and other compounds which both lower the melting point and elevate the boiling point of the coolant)
