For images to work within image tags, they need to end on .bmp, .jpg, or .png, so next time remove all the crap, after the jpg, from the question mark to everything after that.

And to answer the question, until either he, or Biden, or Harris is sworn in on the 10th of January, Trump is still President.

Will do. I just checked the preview which showed the picture so I assumed it worked.

Yes, it showed just fine. The question mark and all that follows it are tracking and authorisation data for the hosting site.

Interestingly, if I put the url up to .jpg into a web browser (but no more), it simply replies "Bad URL timestamp". This particular photo service - I'm not familiar with it - actually needs all that crap before it releases the image.

The picture sort of works, if a little early.

Then there's the Beach Boys Fun, Fun, Fun:

Obviously to avoid all that crap I need to save the picture somewhere other than my Faceache page?

Right click, then View Image works for me when I come across a failed image post.

The image seems vaguely familiar. Is it One flew over the cuckoo's nest?

Well spotted Les! I was accused of showing my age when I was able to identify the source.

All of a sudden it works.
Before by the way, the link up to here worked fine in a browser for me, else I couldn't have answered the question. Now it gives me the Bad URL timestamp as well.

Still won't help if they don't give it to the world on the same day, or same week. Plus the anti-vaxxers and those BS'ers with their "Bill Gates injects a micro chip in me" won't get it anyway, so how's that going to help?

Meanwhile, Ghost Recon Breakpoint got its 3.0.3 title update today. I've been playing it for the past hour and a half. Found 11 bugs so far... if this was BOINC, I'd declare it DOA.

We can cure the don't chip me, by starting a rumor that if you don't have an IFF chip the laser canon will lock on.

Covid seems to be getting worse. This about the latest Australian outbreak:
Chief Public Health Officer Professor Nicola Spurrier said the particular strain of the virus was breeding "very, very rapidly" with a short incubation period of about 24 hours, and with infected people showing only minimal symptoms.

I suppose it is possible to argue that the minimal symptoms mean is isn't worse. Depends whether you still have the same percentage of people who do get severe symptoms. In evolutionary terms, mild symptoms and not killing hosts makes sense for the virus.
