Are you having the nose & throat swaps?
I've had a few of these over the years and all are uncomfortable, but the level of pain very much depends on the person doing the swabs and how tense one is. The trick is to be as relaxed as possible - even a few slow, deep breaths before going into the room will help.
And I hope your result comes out "clear".

Yeah those, no room to go into, testing takes place while I sit in my car. Tenseness now, 50%.

Grumble: Ping time 1134ms
Upload rate 10KB/s
Download rate 4.56MB/s

Ping time is about 100 times normal, Upload rate about 1/100 normal, Download not very different. I can sense a telephone call to ISP in the morning.

BOINC has about 1GB of uploads queued.

Negative. Phew. I'm free again... well, as far as our renewed country wide lockdown is allowing. As long as I can do dinner with Isa on Thursday, it's all fine with me.
Friday's my birthday, but she's not available then, so we've scheduled it for Thursday.

Back to normal this morning. Though the initial test on my phone app gave a strange result which I soon realised was because it was testing my 4G connection rather than going through ISP via WiFi.

Grumble, the smoke from the California wild fires has come back to the upper left coast. When I look at the sun it is a dim orange disc. It is mostly upper atmosphere smoke and is not expected to reach the unhealthy levels we had 2 weeks ago.

Not for my location. Been in Very Unhealthy status since last night. Lots of smoke on the ground, very hazy just looking across the street.

Grumble: Computer stops responding to wireless keyboard and mouse buttons if ignored for a few minutes.

Glory:Pulling USB transceiver out from socket and plugging it back in again restores communications.

The other consoling thing I found was that some have this issue with Windows and it isn't only us Linux users who suffer.

Glory: found a script that will jiggle the mouse every two minutes. Not a solution but it will do till I find one and issue happens with plug in kb as well. so nothing to do with wireless.

In answer to your new signature:
No messages that are deliberately hostile, threatening, or insulting.

Also in answer to your new signature: it's also OCD to keep continuing to post with a signature in a thread where it's explicitly requested not to do so.
If you then also wish to insult me, that'll cost you another two weeks. We can continue this until the sun dies, end result is always that you'll go on a two week vacation. Or you can just for once throw that pride in the bin and follow the request, just like everyone else does.

No need to label as a grumble!
