I removed the hard drive containing BOINC's data directory. Of course BOINC Manager threw an error. So I tried uninstalling it. It would not proceed because the data drive was missing ! (BOINC Manager itself is installed on a different drive) I had to go into the registry to change the drive letter, just so that I could uninstall. Maybe not something that your more casual users would care to be bothered with ... (Windows 7 64-bit) |

Yes, that's a known problem with the Installshield/msi installer. Did you install the programs (INSTALLDIR) to the secondary drive as well? The uninstaller should be leaving the user information (DATADIR) alone. |

No, the programs are installed on the Windows home drive. Anyway, BOINC is back up & running now ... |
