A few times since I installed v7.16.5 I've started it up as normal and the current task just stays on "Waiting To Run" status. I have to close the BOINC Manager and start it again and it'll run.

If it happens again, could you please have a look in the Event Log (Ctrl+Shift+E) and see if there's any explanation?

(although there are problems with the Event Log in v7.16.5, too, just at the moment, so it's a long shot)

From my memory, no, there were no errors in there. Its last message was windows has resumed operations or something like that.

I get waiting to run quite often whilst running 3 projects on 8/12 cores, the scheduler has started mix of tasks across the projects and then, some time later (usually on a restart), decided that a project is falling behind on it’s share of the work so it puts one of the WUs for the project that’s over into waiting to run whilst it runs a WU for the project that’s short.

No problem, when a WU finishes the the waiting WU will preferentially restart.
