Just installed BOINC 7.16.5 (x64), upgraded from 7.6.13 (x64), on a Win 10 Pro machine and immediately noticed that upon a machine recycle that it did not do an auto start as specified in the Windows Task Manager. I attempted to post this on the BOINC Test Results site, but the highest this goes is 7.14.3, so I'm reporting this here. I will also send an email via BOINC Alpha. |

Both Cliff and I have now rebooted and got a normal restart - probable false alarm. |

Mine exhibits the same failure ... also, when launching BOINC Manager, it fires up with the configuration of "Run Always" pre-selected. Cannot find any cc_config_xml file anywhere. Configuration files buried in the System Registry? Where? |

To save anyone from having to look at Jord's post in Q&A section. First off, the cc_config.xml file (with a dot instead of an underscore between config and xml) isn't made with BOINC, it can be made manually, or by editing and saving the event log options, or exclusive applications. This will fill out a complete cc_config.xml file that's stored in your data directory, on Windows 10 a hidden directory default at C:\Programdata\BOINC |
