Hi,
Can somebody help me with this peculiar issue, which I'm facing while adding the project in BOINC? When I try adding the project as a new user and use my email address and new password, I get a response that my email address is already in use and password provided by me does not match with their records. If I try using "Forgot password" functionality on their site, I get that no user exists with the email address. Any help is appreciated.

I get the same error, and for projects like these, I don't bother to figure it out. They obviously don't care about your potential contributions.

Some other projects are specific, and require you to create an account on their website, or use an invitation code; making you go through the trouble, to make sure you're not going to download a bunch of tasks, without finishing them, and are sure you want to run their projects.

But for this one in specific, they don't want to invest in time to fix it. It's been broken for over a month now, so just ignore it, and choose another project, like astroids or so...

I just tried to join, and had no trouble at all. I had, however, been a member here a couple of years ago, so possibly the situation is different. I dropped it again of course, the approach and attitude of the people there was poor.

Same problem. Completely dead. No matter if i try to register via website or app, its doesnt work. I guess the project is dead.

Registered volunteers can crunch (there are over 370k wus queued) and write to forums.

Seems like the registration process went haywire.
Old registered users can crunch. While new ones can't get in.

Universe@Home just went through a server upgrade to newer BOINC software and yes they are figuring out bugs.

It is a one man all volunteer shop ... with no funding so be patient as he gets things fixed.

For current users the upgrade includes the requirement to "authorize" export of your stat's to an external group like BOINCstats. Current members have to access their account profiles and check the box to allow export.
