Ver: 7.9.3

Headless Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

SETI@home

I am SSH -X into the computer and I am able to load 'boincmgr'. But boincmgr won't show a connection in the bottom. When I try to connect to localhost it shows it's trying to connect but ends up disconnected, is there a special password? I did 'sudo ufw allow 31416/tcp' still isn't working. Any ideas would be appreciated.

First check that the client is running on the headless machine (the client is 'boinc', rather than 'boincmgr'). Something like top should tell you.

Once boinc is running - essential for boincmgr to connect to it - review Controlling BOINC remotely and check that you've gone through all the procedures necessary for a remote connection to work.
