I'm trying to run boinc with FreeBSD (from ports)
The project that I have is einstein.

I set it up using this page: http://people.freebsd.org/~pav/boinc.html

$ tail stderrdae.txt
2006-11-09 23:45:50 [---] gethostbyname failed
2006-11-09 23:45:50 [---] Already attached to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/
2006-11-09 23:45:50 [---] gethostbyname failed
2006-11-09 23:45:55 [Einstein@Home] No work from project
2006-11-10 00:33:34 [---] gethostbyname failed
2006-11-10 23:45:59 [---] gethostbyname failed
2006-11-10 23:46:04 [Einstein@Home] No work from project

I'm behind a firewall how do I fix this?

G'day Ben

On linux systems this problem is caused by the way your hostname is configured on your cruncher. Instructions are here for linux boxes, but the solution may be the same or similar for FreeBSD.
CIC1=CC=C(C2=N[C@@H](CC(OC(C)(C)C)=O)C3=NN=C(C)N3C4=C2C(C)=C(C)S4)C=C1

Signal 11 problems were mentioned on Climate Prediction about a year ago.
I don't know what the answer was, and the models being run then are no longer available, but this is one thread, and this is another.
