Hello,

Ever since I downloaded BOINC a week ago, I have had my spare laptop churning 24/7. Completed a few tasks for Quake Catcher Network, however, the "Work completed" at the front of the BOINC interface still shows as 0, and my profile still shows as inactive with 0 credits.
I realise that this may be an issue specific to the Quake project, as it seems to have been abandoned. I have now dedicated my volunteering to the SETI project.

I am unable to post on the SETI or Quake forums as I am still marked as inactive with 0 credit.
Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

What user name have you used at SETI,as a quick check shows no users with the name you used here.

Also the Questions and Answers forum at SETI does not require credit to post. This is so new user can ask questions there

Edit, OK I think I have found your SETI@Home account. You have one computer which downloaded 9 tasks about 5 hours ago but has not yet returned any results. Until it does, and those results are validated you will not receive credit.

Thank you. It seems that there is an issue with the Quake Controller project but SETI seems to be working fine.

My understanding is that the quake catcher network requires an accelerometer to work. Some laptops have them, others don't. If yours doesn't and you don't have one attached to your machine, then you will never get any credit for it.

I have also seen someone post that the project is dead but I don't know if that is correct or not.

There has been some recent credit for QCN Taiwan but its been a few weeks. I think the QCN projects also need the location of the device set in the profile for tasks to receive credit.
