Hi, After installing boinc on two desktops (thinkstation P310, thinkcentre M720Q tiny), the start menu on win10 v1809 stops working correctly. When pressing win-key, the start menu appears, but you cannot search anything. Pressing any alphabetical key will grey up the start menu. I tried uninstalling boinc client and the problem went away. Start meny worked fine for couple of weeks until I reinstalled boinc client. Running world community grid ver 7.14.2 (x86) widget version 3.0.1. Boinc has been installed as a service. Other computer has been set to run always, other suspends when there's user activity on computer. I normally use the installer on the wordcommunitygrid.org , but as a test I used a installer on boinc site (not sure if there's any difference but the skin). The problem usually appears on day or two, I'll report back later. E: after reboot, the problem usually goes away for a while |

Does this happen if you don't install it as a service? Just a thought, - I haven't used Windows on my own machines since 99 so am very out of date on it! |

Problem "solved" by decreasing amount of CPUs to be used by boinc. |

Probably the best way to get this sorted is for you to report your findings to Microsoft. I think the Feedback Hub in Windows is what Microsoft instructs people to use. |
