As a part of dogfooding, I'm part of an IPv6-only policy test for Windows Vista. One of the issues that it has uncovered is that BOINC Manager complains repeatedly that it cannot connect to BOINC client. I'll wager it's trying to connect to 127.0.0.1, which currently doesn't exist. I'm not sure what the IPv6 loopback address is, or what the right mechanism is to programmatically determine whether there's only IPv6 interfaces available (as opposed to IPv4), but I think that I'm stuck unless something along those lines is done. (Dogfooding trumps BOINC on a work machine.)

Is this a known issue, or do I need to post a bug (and if so, where)?

Thanks in advance,
Nathan Herring

BOINCZilla is a good place to put it. Or register to the BOINC Developer's email list and post it there. Or both. ;-)
