Hi I’m running the beta version which has been running fine until the last day or too. I often find tasks sitting there with a “ready” status, but not crunching (battery charge is good). I have just looked at the event log and I see: Client Messages 29/01/2019 8:05:09 PM|World Community Grid|<![CDATA[ Task ZIKA_000386641_x1r6r_DENV2_capsid_NMR_21_s2_0555_0 postponed for 600 seconds: Waiting to acquire lock ]]> 29/01/2019 8:04:47 PM|World Community Grid|<![CDATA[ Tasks are committed to other platforms ]]> 29/01/2019 8:04:47 PM|World Community Grid|<![CDATA[ No tasks are available for Mapping Cancer Markers ]]> 29/01/2019 8:04:47 PM|World Community Grid|<![CDATA[ No tasks are available for Microbiome Immunity Project ]]> 29/01/2019 8:04:47 PM|World Community Grid|<![CDATA[ No tasks sent ]]> 29/01/2019 8:04:47 PM|World Community Grid|<![CDATA[ Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks ]]> <SNIP> What does the “acquire lock” part mean and why is nothing crunching? |

Thanks. I rebooted my phone and it seems to have done the trick. |

This behaviour has continued and is making the app near impossible to use. This issue only started at the time of my initial post. Prior to that I had no issues. Is there a beta forum to discuss beta issues or somewhere to officially report them? |

If the problem is due to the process running but the Android manager not being able to access it, would this show up by running, "top" in a terminal? |

If the problem is due to the process running but the Android manager not being able to access it, would this show up by running, "top" in a terminal? How do I do that? I’m familiar with running commands in terminal on computers but not on phones. I’m wondering the same thing because the built in task manager doesn’t show all running processes so I can’t tell if there is a rogue process running that hasn’t terminated properly. Tried to find a better task manager in the App Store but couldn’t find anything even remotely close to what I used to use on my PC when I had one. |

Seems to not be quite as straightforward as I thought. Top in Android doesn't produce a similar list to the one it does in Linux or at least not by default. I am clearly going to have to do some googling (other search engines are available) and play a little more before I find the terminal in Android as useful as I find it in Linux. |
