Fully packed, 1 suitcase, two smaller backpacks, loose shoes and a bodywarmer. I will probably have over-packed, but can't be bothered as I'm not coming by plane. 25 hours until the boat sets out.

Well, I've had a quick look round the local treescape, and it looks very much like it did before the storm. The daffodils are (mostly) standing proud, and nodding gently in the breeze. I think we're good to go.

Couple of trees have fallen onto the road on the route I chose to go to my ferry. I am monitoring the news to see when they are cleared. Several trucks with lost cargo, one with its cabin roof blown off, not the usual Monday morning traffic jams. 🤔😲

I've just decided to continue my trek. Friday or Saturday I'll continue down south, if Rob still wants to have me for a day, I'll go there. Maybe visit Wales.

One of the Radio Caroline DJs that I have been emailing with for years has just contacted me that he's in for a meeting, so I will try to arrange that. Hope he can come to this side of the Thames though.

Her phone is having ISSUES!!!!

Tried calling since last SATURDAY!!! CANNOT get through due to BT Issues that cause the Dual Ring/British Ring Tone to be cut in half, AND when the call connects there is GREAT Static and an immediate CLICK and disconnect.

Called Vonage, (my telephone Service), and they investigated and NOT only reproduced the issue, BUT found that EVEN calling from a REGULAR Land Line that these issues PERSIST!

I've PM-ed Annie on THREE different Forums, (including this one), to let her know that her Line is having issues and she needs BT to investigate and repair, BUT I've gotten NO response! 😱😨😔😞😟🙁

NOW, Annie is GREAT in responding to PMs, SOOO I can only conclude that in addition to the telephone issues that her DSL may also be affected and she has NOT received my PMs yet!

Today, I tried calling again, AND, (possibly an improvement), instead of the "half ringtone" and immediate cutoff of the call, I got a constant BUSY signal for somewhere around ten minutes of trying to make contact.

I hope that she sees this, and the PMs and kicks BT into gear to repair her lines.

I do hope your shower works for visitors as well. Richard says his shower works, but for me it only does cold, very cold and ice cold. This while the faucet on the sink does give hot water. So I suspect sabotage. 🙄😒😤😟🤪😵😠
