Hi everyone, I have a headless computer where I run the boinc client with a bam account and it works fine, but I cannot find the log file stdoutdae.txt and stderrdae.txt.
The OS I'm using is CentOS 7 and the boinc client version is 7.14.2; before I had the boinc client installed on the same machine with Arch Linux and boinc client version 7.12.1 and the boinc data directory is /var/lib/boinc on both installations but in my previous Arch system there were the following log files in /var/lib/boinc:

stdoutgpudetect.txt
stderrgpudetect.txt
stdoutdae.txt
stderrdae.txt

but now on the new installation in /var/lib/boinc I have only:

stdoutgpudetect.txt
stderrgpudetect.txt

I kind of liked those log files and I would like to get the client to make them, how can I solve this?

7.6 onwards log to the syslog. You can still view the log via BOINC Managers Event Log (or BOINC Tasks Messages) for the most recent start of the BOINC client.

Well but if you say from 7.6 onwards then the version I had was 7.12 and it still gave me the stdoutdae.txt output file, also I don't have BOINC Manager because it's a headless pc, just boinc client that I can control with boinccmd; it would be helpful if you could tell me exactly where I can find the syslog, thanks.

I was able to find some boinc log info in /var/log/messages, thank you for the help.
