Got bored again and compiled an optimized boinc client 5.7.0 for SSE2 window machines. It is based off the cvs head as of 10/27/06 (no code changes only compiler optimizations). It can be found at boese.dnsalias.com:6969. I know optimized clients don't affect most projects' credits any more (good thing) but I hate running lowest common denominator binaries.

I have fixed the firewall issues I was having so the download below should now be available. In addition I have also released a sse optimized build of the latest code from the 5.6 branch (currently at 5.6.5). Both are available at the link below. Please note both of these are releases of alpha to beta code and should only be used by those testing and/or those who know what they are doing.

Is there anywhere to get your compiled version other than via a torrent file?

I can't download torrents as my ISP doesn't seem to like them.
